Sorry can't help you with the TBM.
Does anybody have any idea why you would want to put the short-wide chord T-28C type prop on a T-28B? After noticing the prop in Brandon's photos I went back and looked at some of mine and saw that the flyabe T-28B in my area also has the C style prop.

Great pictures bdk! Thanks!
Hi Dan!
Thats probably a cutdown S-2 prop. The original "B" props are starting to get few and far between and are very expensive. It's cool that they are an acceptable substitute.
Although, ahhhhh, some S2 restorer 35 years from now is probably going to be cursing our names for doing it.
(Edit)
Here are a few props where I know what they are.
1. B prop
2. C prop
3. Cutdown S2 prop
4. S2 with props
5. S2 with bent props

Thanks O.P. I suspected it was an availability or serviceability issue. I know a similar situation exists with the T-28A, I've never seen one with the 2-blade prop.

I have, with the original R-1300 engine. There have been issues with the 2 bladed prop, either an Ad, or a limit on usable hours.

According "Final Tour Of Duty", the two-blade Aeroproducts prop is pretty rare now as it has a 2,000 hour life limit and is not overhaulable.

Great book! I just got it on friday along with some other good T28 books and magazines from a friend.
Hi again Brandon! I can't help with the TBM, sorry, but, did you hear anything about a Talichet SBD, Or P-40's while you were over there? I know he probably has an SBD and I've heard he has a couple three P-40's.

Nope, this had just moved into view so I took some photos. Tallichet used to have 3 SBD's at Chino, all without wings, and a bunch of P-40's over the years. Not sure what they still have. The hangar is all locked up on the weekends.

The derelict Tallichet TBM has apparently moved onto greener pastures. Rumor has it that it was trucked to San Diego last week.
