Cool, thanks for the trip down memory lane! I trounced around that parade ground as a kid in the 70's, just like Ryan (my pants fit better though.., they were broken in by my three older brothers).., and yes RYAN we are all getting old!!

There is a VERY cool museum within walking distance as well. They had several turrets from a B-24 and I think a B-17 as well. I used to climb into the nose turret on the B-24.., I barely fit at 12.., I can not imagine who they squished in there as an adult?

Is the museum still up to par?

i was there in 1999 when non military could still go in and see them. went by in 2003 and NO acess to public. dyess is the same way, i understand [post 911 and all] but i do miss seeing places like these. thanks for the pics to where a lot of us can't go any more.

So the AF owns a non-pinball P-63 painted as a pinball (Dayton) and a pinball painted as a non-pinball? Gotta love it.

Nixilite! Anti bird nesting and sitting!! aka POOPER STOPPER

appears to be on most aircraft there., even on the top of the props!
