Recent Spit mouvement??

Wed Jun 01, 2005 3:57 pm

Hi!

Do you know when was the latest Spitfire mouvement, anywhere?

When was the last change of owner made? Are all the North American Spits with their usual owners?

I'm investigating a potential Spit move, but I need to now if anything happened lately...

It's not exactly a Spitfire but over at Courtesy Aircraft, Seafire PR503 looks to have been sold. Does this count??

Hmmm, no.

I'm interested in two-seaters.

How much are they in the US? Two? The Greenwood one and that other one somewhere else?!

Has, per chance, the MoF (ex-champlin) TRIX been sold?

Twin Seaters in the U.S.:

ex-Champlin plane MJ772 is on loan to the EAA Museum (converted to a single seater)
Greenwood TE308 in CO
Jack Erickson Mk. VII MT818 at Tillamook, Oregan
Dick Melton DM008 now MH367 still under restoration in FLA

I think that is it.

There have been a couple of rumors floating around over the last few years involving twin Spitfires with Ontario connections, but best I know they were always rumors.

Ollie - PM or e-mail me if you want to discuss this further.
