For those coming they finally updated the list of statics:

It looks like all of the Ls and Os are going to be on the south ramp. The P-51 HJGB and P-38 GG will be just to the south of show center area.

Got quite a treat as I was on 410 going to visit Mom in hospital. At a distant saw two warbirds in formation...far enough away not sure which...looks like one was Mustang..both going a bit south from International. Next two Aeroshell T-6s take off....hmmm.....then two more....headed toward RND....well not over yet.....next was a B-25....looked like Lone Star's but could be wrong. Bout that time I had to get off fwy...so not sure if there were anymore. Bet they had been playin at Lewis's hangar.

Well, I can now really say that I've gotten up close to HJGB!!!
Then my fellow flight instructor told me that he sees it in it's hangar all the time when he flies for another fellow.

And this is about the best I could do of the Collins jets - taken from about a half mile away in the performers food tent. We had some GREAT barbeque from a local chain and enjoyed chatting with Lady02Pilot and the F-22 Raptor guys over lunch. That was fun.

I don't know about that. I think it was pretty crowded in the afternoon. The ramp is shaped like an L with the low, short part of the L being the south ramp where we got stuck. The long part of the L was the flight line and it aways looked crowded to me in the afternoon. Also, I think someone flubbed up with traffic preparations because I heard from three different friends of mine that there was literally a two-to-three hour wait to get in the gates from Pat Booker Road. I think what happened was that people waited to see if the fog would lift, then all rushed in around 11-12ish. Bad idea. Those that got there early had no issues.

yah, sounds like they moved the location.., most likely more room. Years ago it was on the East side, by the drive over the runway to the Golf Course. That entire tarmak was the only place with display aircraft. The T-birds would be parked across the other end.

We thought it was going to be about a 25 minute flight, but things got delayed, and we ended up landing during the extended waiver, after holding for maybe 30 minutes in formation! Quite an experience.

Great shots Ryan! Hopefully I'll get down to SA soon w the 5. I love the landing video. Looks like an L-5 pilot could get 5 landings in on one approach :lol: Kinda like when I landed the Cub at DFW, one pass down the runway and your current in landings.

I wasn't able to go warbirding two weekends in a row but I did see a two Tora a/c fly over this am. while working outside. Looked like Zeke or maybe an AT-6, and a Val. The fixed gear was distinctive. Both looked gray, the sky was gray, everything was gray. I heard the Pratts coming, stopped and looked for them. I ignored James and Wooby just watching them cruise past, low and slow. James joined me, asking what they were. Wooby just said, 'Huh'?
