I have a wooden control stick from a Stearman. My dad had it & I'm not sure where he got it from. Otherwise, every time I see this subject, I think of the time when I was 17 & she was 15 & this Corsair that used to be hangared here...................

I'll let him answer as well, but Chunks just dropped off one or two or twelve canopies over here at my place last week, and he said he thought he had around 300 canopies total.

You know, that's what's cool about collecting this old stuff...and this thread. The memories associated with even one or two little parts is pretty neat. Obviously, some items mean more than others, but each one has a story.

Wasn't there someone a few weeks ago looking for a J-47?

Thanks for the heads-up Kevin. I have been doing some research on my Sabre engine situation.

Since I first contributed to this thread back in 2006, I've acquired a few more things:
- A piece of skin from LB-30 Diamond Lil (thanks, Gary!).
- An R-1820 piston from #3 engine of B-17G Chuckie.
- An R-2600 piston from #2 engine of B-25J Pacific Prowler.
- A few Wright engine spark plugs and valve springs.
- A WW2 German telegraph key (made by Junkers).
- More U.S. military radio items, including three more BC-348 receivers, four more command transmitters and one mounting rack, four more telegraph keys, and some war surplus tubes and small parts.
Still not much compared to some of you guys, but it's better than nothing.
Cheers!

I've got a couple of pieces of F-105B Thuderchief 57-5789 that Gary gave me.
One piece is a broken off radome latch and the other is the spine formation light access cover complete with the smashed plexiglass. He was just going to skin over the hole in the spine and said he didn't need it so it was my souvenir to have if I wanted it. I'll take some photos and post them today or tomorrow...
