Chicoartist wrote:I know Martin is familiar with Frank, but my source for any question regarding allied aerial victories from WWI onwards is Frank Olynyk. He wrote the excellent "Stars and Bars", which many know of, but what most (I've found) don't know is that he compiled and self-published 10 additional softcover books covering most of the allied victories. He never (yet?) got to many of the RAF's aerial credits, but all of the US kills are documented.
These 10 books are extremely difficult to find - it's taken me years, but I have all but the USAAF Mediterranean book - probably because they are such valuable works of reference and folks don't sell them! He goes above and beyond USAF Historical Study no. 85, for example, in the USAAF ETO credits volume to become the "last word" on the subject.
So, if Frank says "17.333", it's 17.333!![]()
