That T-28 might be a good buy, but not as good as the ad makes it out. The ad seems to promote minor damage, that is put a new prop on, a small touchup on the belly and off you go. If that was all there is,then why is the owner trying to sell it, rather than make the repairs? I don't know if he had hull insurance or not.

I'd assume a new prop and likely an engine overhaul. I guess it is possible that an engine inspection might find no damage, but seems to be that radials are very sensitive to sudden stoppage. I remember there was a T-28 that could not get the gear down and made a belly landing on 18 at Oshkosh. I never knew what damage was or how much repairs it needed.

There is a T-28C on barnstormers for $50k , what makes this worth more than that ? I think the T-28c was just modified for carrier landings (arrestor hook smaller propellor)

Your kidding right? if you can't tell the difference between a Project missing alot of parts and no engine (Barnstormers 50K) and the one on E-Bay complete and restored (just to restore is 100K+)

I have some fine land for sale in Florida for you...........

CR good point and the "project". One question to anyone, why no NTSB report?
