This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

When they did the 50th, they just sent out invites and thought the sky would be full of B-25's. It was nice being the only one at the dance...

I knew it is close to the nutter center. Haha I'm a pittsburgh native so sorry for mixing up town names. Haha

Driver--
Didn't mean to hit the ball too hard on that....I live about three miles from the Nutter Center so all that stuff is just up the street from me. Seems like they're building a new motel up there every other week. Wasn't aware that they had built one across from the Museum gate where the old "No-tell" used to be.
A good friend of mine stayed here (address below) last summer. It is one of the best kept lodging secrets in the area. (He is from France and told me about it!)
You take a right at the grundgy used car place and pass the oldest sub shop in town...ask yourself "are we in the right place?"..and you're there.
It is up on the hill near the intersection of 675 and Col. Glenn (If they cut down the trees you could see the old blast proof hangars from there). Straight down hill to the Col. Glenn/Airway gate to the Museum grounds (But whether they will have that gate open is still TBD) There are two other entry gates to the base within 1000 yards of this motel but again whether they will utilize them for the gig is doubtful. In any event it is a nice place and relatively inexpensive considering the other places down by Nutter. We're talking a half mile here.

Shameless plug for local store...
Back in the day we had several hobby shops and aviation oriented stores in the area--now all gone. Back before Christmas this place opened up and is just terrific! If you're in the neighborhood for the gig in April, take a drive (south) on North Fairfield road into Beavercreek and check it out!

Should be quite the dinner. My wife and I have tickets to go. I am supposed to give Dick Cole a ride that week in the Waco Cabin since he and my father were classmates!

Does anybody know what day and time the B 25s will land at museum.
Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:36 pm
They are asking all B-25's to plan to arrive at Urbana by mid-afternoon on Friday, so everyone can get settled in and ready for a party Friday night. I saw somewhere a proposal that had launch from Urbana times and landing at Dayton times, but now I can't find it. As soon as I do, I'll post it, unless someone finds it before me!

Kinda hopin' one or two might come in on Thursday, since I'll be heading to Louisville on Friday morning
