This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I took this photo taken at the Meriden, CT airport airshow during 1986-1989. You guys are good. I know what it is but do you. I'm throwing it out for the fun of it. Guess. Unfortunately no prizes. Don't cheat and go to the FAA registration website.

EXTRA POINTS:
Anybody guess the aircraft and owner whose wing is seen on the left in the photo?
Larry, you can't guess!

Dick Foote's old FM-2

That pinto was the cover girl for an Air Progress article back in the 70's

, I have the issue but it would take some time fishing it out.

The man is correct. Good call on the rare jet warbird - Temco TT-1. And yes another good call on Dick Foote's FM-2 Wildcat. And just a wing tip.
Jerry do you ever get a chance to take any photos? Sure would love to see them if you do/did.

So is that where Dick based his Wildcat out of? Sigh. Wish that bird was still tearing up CT sky!

Larry,
I've got slides stashed away somewhere. Might take a bit to find 'em. It's been so long!
Dick kept the Wildcat in Florida in the Winter and Windham Airport in the Summer.
That was back in the Warbird's International days. George Enhorning with the P-51 and the F8F, Dick with the Wildcat, Tora Zero and Kate. Tom Rudder with the Harvard. It was great! I remember Dick taking off from Meriden in the Wildcat and as he did a max climb take-off, George took off under him in the Bearcat going like the hammer's of Hade's!
That Tora Zero is down under now after spending some time in the UK.
