B-17E My Gal Sal restoration?

Fri Jul 15, 2005 3:37 pm

Anybody know what the status of B-17E #19032 “My Gal Sal” is? I was following the work for a while but the site has not been updated in almost 2 years.

Well the airplane is in pieces at the blue ash airport it is alsmost all restored. If you call being done with pop rivets restored. They have been waiting on the city to decide what they want to do with the airport. And the last I heard the city has decided to develope the land into a business park. This means they will have nowhere to display the airplane.

No, I helped remove some of the rivets and watched what thay put back in it is only a shell right now and if it was to be made flyabe it would be very expensive. All the work is non airworthy. I have some recent pics and I will try and upload them soon
