Thank you, Brad!
"Pictures now the property of Tulio Soto."
I like this very much. Probably will not stop the thieves, but leaves a written trail just in case.

Robbie, Dan:
The Ecuadorean Air Force Museum is located next door to the Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre, in Quito, Ecuador.
The Douglas C-67 (the transport version of the B-23 Dragon) on display, was never operated by the Ecuadorean Air Force.
It was owned by the Compañia Ecuatoriana de Aviacion (HC-APV), configured for VIP transportation, and was used by Texaco during the 1960s and early 1970s.
Attempts in the past, to purchase it and bring it back to the USA, were fruitless. BUT, recently if you recall, the guys from the Canadian Aviation Museum were able to bring back a Canadair CL-44 (not 100% sure about the model) from Ecuador, because it was going to be scrapped . . .

Tulio

Correction to my previous post:
I'm sorry, but the correct construction number for this aircraft is 2717. The USAF serial number is 39-31.

Amado
