It's not the top one. That one is still at the Olympic Flight Museum in Washington. It will be giving about 40 or so rides this next week and during the airshow.

I think the subject of this thread is Ross Grady's old plane.

Is Ross Grady still with us ? I haven't seen him since Midland the last year he owned him Mustang....

(1) Is 44-13410 now the P-51 that had has the most P-51 warbirds painted after it? Or is Old Crow still in contention?

(2) Who's going to be the first Lou IV owner with the nerve to take off the dorsal fin?

(3) What about this

Love seeing Mustangs in 361st colors. Would have been super to see them get the starboard side name correct though. As long as it's been since I got that info out I would think they would have found it with some basic research. I guess they used Robert Taylors old painting 'Home Run' for reference.

Do you mean Bald Eagle?

You ought to send a note to the owner Craig. He took enough trouble getting most of this paint scheme right, maybe he'd correct the name if it were brought to his attention. It seems like the type of thing that could be done without a lot of repainting.

I would be happy to do that, if anyone has contact info please pm me. I can send him pictures and background along with an official thank you for the recognition on behalf of the 361st FG Assocication ( I can do that, I'm the VP!).

No love for the 15th AF!? ;)

No, February and American Beauty (formerly) are the 31st FG, 15th AF. Bald Eagle and Lou IV are 361st FG, 8th AF.

Jim, I was hoping to introduce myself and say hello, but the Mustangs weren't accessible, at least when I was there.
