Awesome Weekend!!!
This last Saturday we had the Boulder 5th Annual Airport Day and Open House event.

Bill Greenwood was there doing Young Eagle flights.

The Young Eagles program went very well!
I swear every kid that got off of Bill’s aircraft had a smile from ear to ear!!!
Looks like we will be having more future WIXer’s in the near future!!!!! (the aviation bug has bitten!!!)

There were also a few great flybys!

And it wouldn’t be an airport day without the sweet looking Stearman!

Great day!

Scott it was good to see you there with your new wife as well!

Did you two stay for the 1940s dance later on? That was lots of fun too!
They had a 1948 Grumman TBM-3E parked with a T-6 for the dance.
The Spirit of Flight Center brought the Northrop KD2R5 “Shelduck” basic training Target Drone.
The Target Drone was looking good! All the old paint was stripped off, the new paint was on... and it looks good now!

Woulda been there but have been having foot problems courtesy of the place that I work out at....wound up at the doctor's office instead.....is that Eric's 'new' Stearman? Not used to seeing him without the old red and black machine.....also not used to seeing Bill NOT flying a Spitfire or T-34! My stepfather used to be partners with Jack Wilhite (the MiG pilot) in a Steen Skybolt years ago....strangely enough I never flew with my stepdad in the 'Bolt but I DID fly with Jack once in it....go figure.

Hi Mark,
Yeah that is Eric, but I am not sure if that is a new Stearman. I think I saw him in it last year.
Not sure.
