Thanks for the help.
Do you think the coveralls are white or a light tan?
The logo looks embroidered. Anybody know the colors?

As already mentioned, the coveralls appear quite white.

For logo colors, scroll down at the following link to a neat, old patch for "Lockheed Plant Protection".

And how about this...

Another possible avenue is contacting the employee store at Plant 42 in Palmdale. It's actually just outside the main gate in the same building as the credit union & is open to the public. They have a bunch of neat stuff in there: patches, jewellery, coffee mugs, shirts jackets, hats & all sorts of other stuff:)

They are definitly white and as for stencile, i'd print out one from a photo, blow it up and put it on the coveralls either by a sharpy or paint.

A minor point, but the Universal web site shows their white cotton coveralls as having the herringbone pattern that I think many of the old time coveralls had, http://www.universaloverall.com/images/ ... dWhite.jpg

but in fact the coveralls are just a plain white weave without the herringbone pattern which I've seen on some original 1930s coveralls, don't know about the WW2 ones. Do the Red Kap ones have the herringbone pattern?

We got the Universal ones from All Seasons Uniforms for the autogiro crew (I think they were out of the Red Kap ones) and had a local place in Dayton embroider the logo on.
