A place where restoration project-type threads can go to avoid falling off the main page in the WIX hangar. Feel free to start threads on Restoration projects and/or warbird maintenance here. Named in memoriam for Gary Austin, a good friend of the site and known as RetroAviation here. He will be sorely missed.

And no I'm not talking about the AvSpecs Mosquito being restored to fly. This is a fairly rare Mosquito being an ex RNZAF example (actually of 2 Mosquitos NZ2328 and NZ2382. Basically the fuselage is NZ2328 and everything else is NZ2382 (which has a RAF combat history as HR339!)
This is being restored here in my home of Christchurch and I was lucky to see "them" in person last year.
An ex-FAA engineer and cabinet maker (perfect combination!)is leading the restoration.
Here is a recent thread on my favorite NZ forum with PICTURES!!!

No she will be static. And I think you are right there are 3 flyers under restoration. 2 in New Zealand and 1 in Canada.
