There are two Sabres displayed in the US which are thought to be the Canadair built Sabre, RCAF s/n 23238.

Here is the first in Oxnard, CA...

Another is in Goldsboro, NC...

Does anyone here have any information regarding their respective arrival dates at these sites? Does anyone have any photos? Close-ups are welcome. I know a few Canadair Sabre experts I would like to show them to.

Photos may be uploaded via...

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Warbirds directory lists the aircraft (N86EB) as being on display at Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC. But it also says the same aircraft is reported to be on display at Channel Islands ANGB, Oxnard, CA as USAF 91046. Just as you said. The F-86 site http://f-86.tripod.com/usa1.html also notes the dual identity problem, but seems to have some evidence that the Seymour Johnson bird is the real 23238. Maybe you could query them to find out what their reasoning is.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Richard. That is a good tip.

It is a long shot, but I am hoping that someone reading this has taken photos of one or the other or both.
