Here are a few more good Pensacola pictures from the Naval Aviation Museum* web site.

(* I know that's not the current name, but prefer the old short names of both the Naval Aviation and Air Force museums.)

I am sure it is a '10' on the fin. As this does not seem to be over painted - the current one (VB-14)?

I also agree the side numbers on the fusealge in front of the cockpit do look like a '18' or something. Seems like a number has been applied twice.

First request is to get the jet wash out. They usually do this quick quickly to get the mud and silt out.

I'll have to ask NMNA!

She's got a split personnality.

Her body is in Florida but her wings are in San Diego.

I am sure whe will be reunited shortly.

Hopefully a bath is due shortly.

Neat..I was just on that ramp less than a month ago. Hard to believe she was still half buried in mud under 80 feet of water at the time.

Here are a few pictures from a very wet Pensacola ramp yesterday. I proved my dadd
right because I didn't have enough sense to come in out of the rain. Enjoy, John

Great news to hear and I hope to head over and see her myself this week, maybe get some pictures in as well. Awesome pics John! The rain is what is keeping me away.
