Thanks Dennis,

26 Mustangs, that's got to be a record for Oshkosh?

I'll have to go all week next time. I counted 21 Mustangs and 1 Sea Fury on Wed.

Hi all,

Sounds as though they have a fairly impressive lineup there. It kinda makes a person wonder how many of the aircraft at OSH will be at Thunder Over Michigan next weekend. The Yankee AirForce says in their listing that it is a "partial" list from what they have on their rather impressive list there already. Any hints as to what "extra" stuff may go over to Willow Run ??

Paul

I wondered down to the ultralight area Thursday and discovered the Pacific Prowler B-25 parked south of the ultrlight field. It was the one a cameraman fell out of during the filming of Catch 22. Don't know why they didn't want to park with the other warbirds. Had to head toward home Friday but this was one of the best Oshkoshes yet with all of the B-17's, Glacir Girl, Do-24, and the Scaled Composite projects. I read where a Cessna Bobcat lost directional control on take-off over at Fond du Lac but fortunately nobody ws hurt. Looked like it damaged the gear and went down on one wing.

I went to Oshkosh on Saturday and had a great time. The hi-lites for me were meeting and listening to Lex (a real nice guy) fielding million questions about his Corsair, meeting and listening to Robin Olds talk about his experiences and taking in all the warbirds. Sorry to have missed The Liberty Belle and FHC's Mustang but thats the way it goes. I did have a chance to stop and chat w/ both Jim Church and Tim Savavge. It was great talking to both of you. Tim, your B-25 looks great!

Not quite. We had 29 back in 1990-something. (I can't recall off the top of my head, but it was before we moved over to the new 'Fighter Town' area) I remember, because at one point we had Vlado tailed in between the bombers....

Final list from OSH (not counting the museum - they don't make it outside)

Two at Show Center - Jimmy Leeward and Paul Allen
The other 24 were back with us :
