If I remember correctly (I think I do?) Dick (Owner in Waterbury Oxford) actualy flew YO3A's during Vietnam and purchased it after the war ended. He flew it for a long time after he bought it because I used to listen to stories of him flying it into Flushing Airport when he would fly for Skytypers. I was told he would do a low pass down the runway and all you would hear was air noise coming off it.

Air &Space magazine did an article on these birds a bit back - seems like there is nothing still flying per that report. I lokod up some old reference books and they say the noise is akin to "leaves rustling in a light breeze" at 500ft.
