If you had any input (which I don't necessarily) and could choose a paint scheme (a friend will do that): Would you choose a NMF aircraft? Or a camo scheme?

Like I said on HS, option 2 is my favorite. There's already lots of camo'ed 1950s birds about, it would be nice to see another one in colorful markings. Would they go to bare metal, or use silver lacquer?

I'd go with one of the European aerobatic teams, maybe Italian or Dutch. They had some really outstanding color schemes on F-84Fs.

As a former 81st TFW guy, any of the silver ones are great.
Above the bar at the O' Club there were cutouts of the wing's planes (F-84, 101, Phantom, and A-10). I always like the 84.

That's a beautiful model. I actually bought those decals specifically because of that article.

I've always been a fan of the natural metal schemes. Of the above, I like the "Bushmaster" scheme the best. Something about red trim on a Thunderstreak just looks right.

Ditto, 2nd blue or the yellow. I love the polished one at Evergreen aviations museum in Oregon. Unfortunately I don't have the photo to share. I saw it on someones post recently.
