For the curious, the cement quonset hut style hanger in Spookys last photo was the last hanger of West Coast Airlines built in the early 60's a locally based 2nd level and a nice little airline. WCA went on to merge with PACIFIC, BONANZA and become AIRWEST then HUGHES AIRWEST (holy mackerel YELLOW and PURPLE paint), then part of REPUBLIC (somewhere I have a photo of a NWA painted but REPUBLIC logo'd, complete with 'herman' pre delivery 757 @ Renton Muni) then "REPULSIVE' was
merged into Northwest Orient and now it's DELTA. The plywood hanger in the foreground was very briefly, the paint bay for a new local carrier HORIZON when they started up using F-27's (see 'WARGAMES', and the F-27 in the movie is landing North @ KBFI). Most if not all of this is now owned by NORDSTROM and/or P. Allen flight departments.

As of this afternoon (Monday), the B-17F is in the Clay Lacy FBO hangar on the east side of the field. Tucked all the way in the back, nose toward the access road. Looks good and well protected.

Thanks for posting the pics spooky, it's nice to see the '17 out in the sunlight again after all these years albit under sad circumstances...

Have never got over not being able to see her when I was there a couple of years ago... 8000 miles is a long way to travel!
