This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Does anyone have a photo of a plane where you can read Confederate Air Force on it, not the new name? Would prefer an American plane but will take what I can get. A P51 or P40 would be the ultimate! Thanks!
An Ole Rebel who takes exception to the new name.

Here is a link to a thread that has a picture of Mike Dillons' P-40 in its Red with Confederate Air Force stenciled on it. Also try Googling CAF images and some more show up such as Lefty Gardiner's P-38.

Sorry I can't post a direct link, but this one always makes me smile.
Go to:
http://www.dmwtbook.com/commercials.htmlThen to page two (of three) center(sic

) bottom: Confederate Air Force.
Somebody's up there's gonna be watching...

There is an old thread (April 18, 2008) subject: CAF SIRSHO PHOTOS FROM THE PAST.
It contains several photos with the early markings. Enjoy. John
