mosquito without a doubt. leaving the bad guys in the dust is a great advantage in my book. Photo recon with no guns and none of the weight sounds like a rush to me

Fw 190-A2 in late 1941 over France.
I would have had the opposition coming to me and a technological advantage.

Yah I know not WWII but I'd be up for an assignment flying late model F-86s in the WI ANG during peacetime. From what I remember, it's more fun when nobody's trying to shoot my airplane down.

I would pick Boeing B-17 ferry pilot. Seattle to Sebring sounds good to me.

I thought I heard somewhere that a P-38 with one engine out meant BIG trouble for the pilot.

Other than a whole lot of torque to one side, don't know what other problem it would cause. Any of youse troops got an answer pro or con?

mudge and chris, i think that was on take-off. if an engine stopped during that the p-38 would flip and kill the pilot. that's what i'm thinking. in level flight i think you could make it home on one engine. that would mean sooooo much over the pacific ocean
