O.K., fair enough, and I actually agree with you. But, with that being said, I don't think anyone appreciates you trying to muddy up this thread with bad or incomplete information.
Now, given that this is a private matter, why did people with that private information choose to get involved in this thread?

This thread contains many of the things that make WIX, or any other web forum, a good place on the web. Factual information, level headed responses, genuine care for people and their stuff. It also contains many of the things that make WIX, or many other web forums, a bad place on the web. Misinformation, bad humor, egotistical comments, asinine behavior and plain old rudeness.
Some of you people need to get a grip. This is exactly the kind of thread that makes WIX, and therefore all of us that are part of this "family" look bad. I have talked to many people over the years about WIX and the reaction that I sometimes get is quite frankly embarrassing. There are some folks that will not touch us with a ten foot pole and it is EXACTLY this kind of thread that creates that kind of reaction. We can have 100 great threads that are informative and friendly only to have them all thrown in the trash heap when this kind of thread comes along.
I do not even pretend to know what the facts are in this thread. I see the FAA report and that speaks volumes. The rest of the speculation, hand wringing, veiled hints and comments are unnecessary and unhelpful. I agree that we in aviation need to learn from incidents like this for the sake of safety and there is a time to do that...but I seriously doubt that we can really learns anything from three photographs alone.
One more thing....personal attacks in PM's are just as much a violation to the site policies as are public comments of the same character.
Do we really have to do this every few months? Some of us need to grow up.
