In the thread "anyone heard of this" BDK mentioned a P-51H wreck. Was wondering if its this one?
Years ago growing up in southern N.M.(Deming) I had a job at the airport and there was a guy there(sorry I don't know his name) who had a ton of N3N fuselages and parts and this H model wreck. I believe he moved his stuff there from Roswell, but don't quote me(maybe this will ring somebody's brain?)
Any-who, I have laid eyes on this wreck many a time and the owner said it was gonna get rebuilt, but at the time I thought, no way!, it was so mangled!
Well this guy moved out and I have no idea where the N3N's or P-51H went to, any one have clues?

I remember reading those stories about that wreck. It was in a Nick Veronico Wreckchasing book also.

Apparently the pilot bailed out of the one I'm thinking of. The guys collected the wreckage and it was offered on eBay some years ago. I doubt there is any paperwork with it though.

TF-51H 44-64697 has been purchased by Ken Williams, and Robert Chambers. The aircraft has been moved to Red Oak Texas while we decide what to do with it.

Thanks, Ken...and welcome to WIX. Nice update for your first post.

Any pics you can share (or would it just be too disappointing)?

Steve - Was that dude with the N3N parts the same guy that owns the compound South of the airport with all of the H-21s and other hecilopter parts inside?
