A place where restoration project-type threads can go to avoid falling off the main page in the WIX hangar. Feel free to start threads on Restoration projects and/or warbird maintenance here. Named in memoriam for Gary Austin, a good friend of the site and known as RetroAviation here. He will be sorely missed.

Just a few quick shots.
The Canopy Windscreen are about 60% done. I am in the process of working on a few donations including glazing for the frames.

The canopy looks great! Where did you get the overalls?

They were done by a small screen printing shop in Stratford.
http://web.userinstinct.com/9102112-top-tees.htmThey've done some similar work for me in the past. All exceptional quality.

Heres me and the old man at the first Corsairs over Connecticut show in 2005. Its harder to see but the front has a larger V going through the Chance Vought. This design is almost identical to that of an original Structures Test Lab Coat that the CASC possesses in its archive.

Heres a shot from this past year's Corsair Show.
Drew King took this shot which gives you a clear view of the back:

Starting a new side project. I am working on refinishing the Starboard side electric box.
I am trying to find a source for a few things. Is cloth covered wire available from any sources?
I also need NAF213672 (2x 150) (1x 75) (1x 15) Resistors As long as they look externally ok I'd be interested in them.
In addition I am looking for a dozen CVC1454 Snaps and sliders. The following photos should give you an idea of the kind of damage we are dealing with on this rebuild. Last point, can anyone around here tell me what the white stamping on the side of thee box said?
Starboard Electrical Panel Stamp, need it translated

I have used Cloth covered wire for household light fixture restoration from Sundial Wire, not sure if it would be the right gauge or type for what you need. I know they repo wire for radio restorers and also car restorers try Hemmings for car sources and radio-daze for radio wire.

Thanks for the suggestion. Seems single strand primary wire in white is hard to obtain.
