EAA OPEN POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Department: Aircraft Operations
Reports To: Aircraft Maintenance Manager
Status: Full Time, Non - Exempt

POSITION ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and specialized inspections on company aircraft in accordance with manufacturers requirements, FAA regulations and EAA policies and procedures.
• Assist with the restoration of EAA owned vintage aircraft to include but not limited to sheet metal, parts fabrication, fabric repair and installation, painting and wiring.
• Supervise maintenance performed by non-rated personnel in accordance with FAR’s.
• Maintain and repair aircraft ground support equipment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean work area.
• Assist with preparation of EAA convention as assigned.
• Occasional travel to aircraft tour stops for repairs to aircraft.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess an FAA airframe and powerplant certificate.
• Must meet all current FAA regulations that pertain to certificated mechanics.
• Minimum 2 years general aviation aircraft maintenance experience with aircraft restoration experience desirable. Radial engine or vintage aircraft experience is preferred.
• Inspection Authorization or the desire to obtain one is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. A CDL is a plus.
• Able to supervise and work with volunteers on aircraft and museum projects.
• Above average electrical trouble shooting and wiring skills desirable.
• Occasional travel is required. Travel may be up to two weeks and can sometimes be on short notice.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evenings and weekends.
