Awesome video, Matthias. Almost as good as being there! Thanks for posting.

Anxiously looking forward to seeing more pictures when the wings are down and you have the opportunity to shoot some detailed pictures......

Cheers,

Ron

Hi Matthias,

All of your previous pictures are outstanding. I was just referring to (hopefully) seeing some pictures of the ammo boxes when they have the opportunity to pull them out of the wing.

Cheers,

Ron

those runups are really physical stress for the pilot :D pull the stick to the chest (lot of pressure on the elevators), brake hard (lot of power to the pedals) and "play" with the throttle. Nothing for a banker like me

Image

big ship and big grin

Image

when you stand on the pilots seat, you can see that

Image

when u sit down, you can see this .... not very much.... paying attention while taxiing that beast is a good idea

Image

right panel, in the middle of that picture the "start button" ...... as I said not enough fuel ..... there is a little witch in my brain, but the angel on my shoulder says "dont even think about" .... one time I will kill that angel

Image

bomb release ... ok we have no bombs

Image

tank switch

Image

the electrical trim-joy-stick ... I think, the -5 was the first Corsair with electrical trim-mechanism

Image

Image

canopy control

Image

again radio and wingfolding-control

Image

Image

again a look straight forward left side

Image

the huge flaps

Image

full right aileron (look at that trimtab)

Image

Matthias, it's time you had a serious talk with yourself about flying lessons. Anybody who dreams in the cockpit like that deserves it! Go for it.
