A Bleriot replica. I was told it flies, but that no-one wants to fly it, because it has wing-warping, AND a stall speed that is just a fraction below it's top speed. Apparently it's quite a challenge to fly without crashing.

Yep, I saw Roger fly it about 7 or 8 years ago. Softly..softly, catchee monkee. Strictly a fairweather and denser air day bird. It's got a little Continental buried behind the dummy cylinders. Considering the original was working with 25 hp, the modern motor must be a vast improvement....tho I reckon prop and torque would account for alot on the original. There used to be a write-up by Roger on what it's like to fly, but the Bleriot.org site is dead now.

I was always quite impressed with the Siemens-Schuckert D.IV - apparently the bloody thing had a rate of climb better than many WWII fighters!
