I like the fact that they recreated the scheme as it was, being a bare-metal B-25J that was painted in OD/Grey in the field, leaving portions of the canopy and nose framing bare (as apart from a factory OD/Grey paint application, which would have seen all of the framing painted). Job well done to the Aero Trader crew, and I hope we will be eventually treated to some exstensive interior views! ; ) If I recall correctly the only item that was talked about that would not be original to WWII in this restoration would be the carbs, because of their lack of availablity, but the carb intakes themselves are of course original, so one would actually never know just by looking at it.

Also, in regard to accurate schemes on U.S. warbirds, of course it is always nice to see, but by now, is it really not yet a trend?

It also seems the stars and bars look a bit too large? Kinda reminds me of "Wild cargo" ... Still looks great though.

I guess that Milo Minderbinders scheme must already be spoken for-Got any Egyptian cotton?

I'm trying to make sure I do not misunderstand what you are saying so please clarify something. Are you saying it is an interesting picture of the landing? Or are you saying it is an interesting landing? I ask because it seems like a normal B-25 landing to me.

Hmm. I think the scheme looks great.

Perhaps some folks here wish they'd been born rich instead of good looking.

Just calling it how I see it. Rich or poor boring is still boring. Wild Cargo is a bit on the boring side also.
BTO II isn't a very large insignia and how many glass nosed Js do you see from the 345th BG?? That's the only one I've seen.

Plane looks great .... interesting landing

I kind of like that the focus is on the plane not the nose art actually. Considering some of the over the top, totally wrong paint jobs on some of the 25s out there, I can't complain

Beautiful bird. Those guys at Aero Traders do some seriously nice work.

Okay...what makes it interesting? Bad landing? Good landing?

The glass on the left side of 'Big Operator' was a 'splinter shield' used mostly to make the pilot feel more protected while down low and spraying .50's around on the other guys' playground, standard equipment on G's and H's that only had one drivers seat.
In fact if you watch '30 seconds over Tokyo' you'll see Spencer Doolittle is actually 'flying' a G or H off the Hornet based on the small windshield (and I just watched it on TCM this past Saturday)
