I think that was Airsho '82, but they all start blending together after so many years of shows.

I know that Fifi was at OSH 81 in her usual markings and at OSH 82 in the Right Stuff paint. But exactly when, between those dates, the paint was applied and when it was removed, I don't know. I would have to guess 82 as well though. I didn't realize that the CAF P-40N had been repainted from "26" to "48" even by 82.

I was at Airsho '81, which was marked by the break-up with my Harlingen girlfriend 10 days prior, and the crash of the SeaFury. I was the tailgunner in Kate 310 that year. I don't remember the natural metal P-40, so it must have been '82, a rare year that I missed the Harlingen show.

Mike, I was at 81 also, & I don't remember that P-40. I will never forget seeing Johnny Williams go down in the Seafury. Those pics must be 82.

Thanks to everyone for all the informative replies! I was only 13 (I think) when we were there and too dumb to realize what I was fortunate enough to be seeing.

Here are some more, "Texas Raider" this time.

These might be from a few years earlier because they were taken with a different camera. Any guesses about the year or whereabouts of the planes is welcome.

IIRC, the yellow cowled Corsair #167 ended up in the Bob Pond Collection in Minnesota prior to their move to Cali.
