WOW! the little green hot rodding magazines-I think BRUTUS was on an episode of CAR CRAZY and thought they referred to it as a Zepplin motor, in any case I recall that even charging around the roads it made gawd awful amounts of noise (really short stacks) and didn't seem to rev too high (I can't stand Barry Meguiar, he's creepy and could very easily play Gollum in a stage version of 'The Hobbit trilogy' ) too much cheesy smile :? and hand wringing.

Last I spoke with him, Jim lived in Hawaii.
He is very happy to tell his V-12 conversion stories.
PM me for his address if interested.

Edge of Palmdale Blvd between 17th St West & 20th St West...... & Google Earth is showing that's still a partly vacant lot..... I don't think it is now, but I'll check next time I drive past...

Report says the wing came off, WTF was he doing?

I'm getting repeated msgs from another user on this forum claiming the plane in the magazine picture is the current Worry Bird.. despite different paint schemes & different registrations. He's also claiming that whoever owns WorryBird is also claiming this is his aircraft, but is afraid to post on the forum owing to the way it's run or some such bullcrap...

At this point I think he's a frigging troll.

Apparently the motor in Brutus is a BMW Type VI. I don't know if the type ever actually powered a Zeppelin, but it was used in a number of winged aircraft.

I'm a troll, OK, and you wonder why owners don't want to post here. He told me his reasons for not posting. Maybe he is mistaken. I took it to PM, you the a$$hole take it public. I use my real name when I post, I don't hind behind usernames. When I PM somebody it's for a reason. It's clowns like you driving Warbird owners away from the forum.

Well upon further reflection, I'm done with this board. It only takes one a$$clown to make this board look like a bunch of fools. If anybody still would like to see my Warbird photos or Reno air race stuff just click the link. I'll PM anybody if I need to ask a question. Hopefully that person will have more brains and common sense than this idiot and keep it in PM's.

Later guys and gals,

Tim Adams

When I first saw the picture, I too thought it was 'Worry Bird'.
I could check with Jim to be sure.

However, if Worry Bird has never crashed (apparently), let alone lost a wing in flight, there's no way it can be Worry Bird? :)
