Impressive reasoning....

...and (apart from the single engine) completely wrong.

Physically near Hawkers, not a Hawker. Not British. At all.

May I modify my guess to read a single engine aircraft of Commonwealth manufacture utilising a Hawker hydraulic selector... :D

One-0-Wonder wrote:Well, in looking at the hydraulic/pneumatic fittings in the lower L/H corner, they're definitely British. It's single engine as evidenced by the mag switch and single throttle, and probably a Hawker product based on the hydraulic selector behind the throttle similar to that found in the Hurricane. However with all this said, my knowledge of early Hawker products is limited, so I submit my 2 pence, and defer to those more knowledgable on the subject than I.

But welded steel tubing, which almost eliminates Hawker products

You may, but it's still lacking correctness...

It's nor British, or Commonwealth. AFAIK, all the parts are appropriate (i.e. not foreign substitutes) and I couldn't read some of the instructions on them.

I'll throw out an overly hopeful WAG with a Fokker D.XXI.

Not likely, just hopeful

And the winner of the Warm Feeling Of Superior Guessability is rcaf_100. Those that followed his link would've found images that match the structure of the pic.

Photo was taken in the early 2000s. Very exciting restoration, original type wooden wing, steel tube fuselage structure.

Hope everyone enjoyed!
