It's on the Registry as C-45G 51-11452 owned by Mark Itmar Brown of Carrollton, Texas as of 1981 - maybe with permission the photos can be added to its file. Looks like a deal - there's got to be a lot more than eight hundred bucks worth of parts there (although that left cowling looks a bit fire-damaged!).

Heh, I guess the humor part of my statement didn't translate well If we had the resources to rebuild that C-45 then we would be better off resurrecting the Whirlwind project, but until I win the lottery it's going to remain a dream.

He's right, the center section is one piece. A problem that my uncle has had before. Owns 3 Beech 18's. He retrieved 2 out of canada, one flew out and had problems once getting into the usa (long story short) engine lost oil, could not feather prop, on landing, gear would not come down, bellied on runway. (pilot was a low time 18 pilot) but the other engine a 80 hr TT covington performed flawless until runway contact. Other A/C was trucked out on a flatbed on a rig that positioned the airplane on a 45 degree angle to take away from the wide centersection. Really works slick. The trailer is owned by the guy that used to do the aerobatic routine at shows with a navy looking 18. Definatly the cats meow on moving a beech by trailer........the other alternative really sucks!!!
