Anyone interested in parts of a Convair, let me know. Complete airframe. Cv340/C131. will be scrapped end of march unless someone can haul it off. Maybe someone out there has a hacksaw and wants the cockpit at least? no engines or props,

Speaking of Convair 131s, I think there are a bunch of them parked on the southwest side of 9L into Ft. Lauderdale. Wasnt sure what they were but after seeing the above photo, I'm convinced that's what these are. Parked next to a saab also.

The YS-11's at FLL are ex Airborne Express package freighters. They bit the dust when Airborne became ABX Express in 2003. According to the FAA, their current owner is an auction company.

There's been several attempts in the past to get the YS-11's back in the air, but lack of reliable DART parts has kept them grounded. Most likely one or two might find a museum one day, but the rest will probably be scrapped, just as most of the former Kitty Hawk International CV-600's and CV-640's have been.
