Re: Help these guys identify an aircraft

WELL, when a photo is posted and all it asks for is "what is this airplane?' and I'm looking @ a Douglas A-20G, and the connecting link reads like confusion in the tower of Babel, then a few posts later up pops a photo of a crashed Il-4 with no other questions or info, and I also correctly identify it too. What am I supposed to do? I've answered both questions, and pointed out the differences between the two.
I'm getting older and the crystal ball I was given when I graduated from High School nearly 5 decades ago is pretty much down to being a frosty marble. Unless you speak up and clearly identify what it it you'd like identified and stop playing political guessing games, you better take what you get or take a bit more time expanding on what your question and point are so we can put it to bed on the first go around, does that make sense?
Dealing with this is like trying to get information out of my first ex-wife who would tell her Mother and Sister the whole story, tell me the middle part and then get mad when I didn't know the whole deal.
I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 15000-
Were you asking about the mfr line number? I have access to the msn's for everything Douglas built.

Waiting on two ceegars for nailing both I.D.s and well within the 60 minute time limit:? geek pop1

Let's see here.I POSTED AT 8:43. BMORAN had the answer in 10 minutes at 8:53. Fearless Tower had the correct answer in 13 minutes at 8:56.

The Inspector misread the thread and posted a wrong answer.

Let's let Wixer's decide. Does The Inspector deserve a Cigar?

In any event 10 minutes is very fast for any forum. This wasn't a contest any way. I was just predicting how fast a question gets answered around here. Should the Inspector drop by i will dig up a Cohiba for him anyway.
