Looking forward... I hope the Lancaster project goes to a good home.

They could always put it back up the pole in the park!

I know it's asking a lot, but I'd like to see a Lancaster in BC. I don't know anyone out here that could support its restoration, but money talks. lol.

I certainly do hope things work out for the best, and in the event it is needed, that the airplanes find the best homes possible.

The Lanc won't be going anywhere outside of the city unless the city decides to get rid of it. It's still owned by the City of Toronto, not the CASM. Much like our Lanc here in Windsor; although we at the CH2A were given the task of restoring it, the City of Windsor would still make the major decisions (such as a new home if an instance like this were to take place).

I was just there on Saturday, they were handing out forms with contact info for various officials about the closing of the museum. It was nice to see so many people in visiting as well. Here are some pics, its a really cool collection! Every Canadian should see their Avro Arrow replica :D

So there abandoning a building that should be placed as a historical building?

That's kind of sad.....

While I think they definitely got a raw deal, it's good to hear that the museum may not be gone for good. Hopefully they'll be able to secure a new facility.
