Mike

Regarding your first photo of two men on the wing of a P-38, the man on the left is 1stLt George E. Morgan, pilot and the other is Morgan's crew chief, Sgt William F. Loy. Both with the 39th FS, 35th FG, 5th AAF. Photograph was taken during the summer of 1943 at Schwimmer Air Drome (aka 14-Mile, aka Laloki), Port Moresby, New Guinea. The second photograph is another photo of 1stLt George E. Morgan most likely taken the same day. Lt. Morgan was KIA on his second combat tour, Philippines, 1945, with the 40th FS, 35th FG, 5th AAF.
