I will admit it. I am VERY sad that I couldn't be there this year.

Today's fly over was quite different than the one two years ago. One fly over in 2010.

This afternoon the 25's first made two fly overs ... then as the majority headed back to Grimes Field in Urbana, 4 held back flew out and turned and headed back to the Musuem and once they flew over the Memorial Gardens, I peeled off in a missing man formation. Talk about impressive. Hopefully, I can find out which of the four participated in that tribute!

As an old AF vet, it was a first for me to see Bombers perform that formation.

I'm working on it now but it's probably going to be 2-3 hours before my uploads finish.

Uploads finally finished.

This was my first time out with this camera and I'm still getting to know it so I had it in automatic. As you can see it stopped all my props! Looks like I'll have to be a big boy and dive into manual settings.

Here are some of the takeoffs this morning.

I was in the memorial park at the ceremony area for the flyovers. Here they are first coming over the trees.

I think Miss Hap from the AAM just flew past my work here in Central, NJ. Headed back to L.I. I presume. :D Well, my day has been made!

I find it ironic that the Ohio representative in whose district Dayton lies appears to be trying to prevent flying warbird displays.
