I hope Rep. Turner forgets about scratching the backs of his buddies at the NMUSAF now that he found out that he was pokin' a stick at a hornets nest. I am embarrassed to have the same surname as that jerk.

You guys Do realize that the NMUSAF has nothing to do with any of this right? This crap is at levels far above Dayton.

That's hard to believe.

We need to very vigilant and keep watching for another attempt to get this approved in congress. Generals in a downsizing military have nothing better to do than think of crap like this.

I was at the NMUSAF 3 times last week. I was disgusted at number of pompous asses strutting around there using their name tags to say, "see how important I am." Of course, with the Doolittle Raiders Reunion, it was necessary for all of those "suits" to be in attendance. Their attitude even sinks as far down as some of the volunteers manning the Information Desk. As in any volunteer group, there are mostly sincere people genuinely seeking to be of service to the museum. The exceptions stand out like the proverbial sore thumb.

Former member of the USAF stepping off his soapbox, for now.

If this comes back up and gets passed, doesn't that stop returning WW2 aircraft wrecks to flying condition?

An I like Huey's, there not a threat to anyone, why get rid of them :x
