N208K is in storage at the moment, there is a lot going on at MAM. The Fighter Factory has moved from Suffolk to Va Bch, a storage building has been built, so things are in a state of flux. Also, currently our WW II Luftwaffe hangar is being assembled, and 2 more storage buildings are being built, the plan is to get everything on site at Va Bch. This past Saturday when I was there the BF-108 was sitting outside the FF without it's engine, according to Jerry, it is in the process of having a new engine installed. So I would think that the 208 might be close behind for restoration to flight status. Currently we have a Jungmeister, FW-44, Ju-52, FW-190, Storch, ready to roost in the Luftwaffe hangar (except I don't think that the Ju-52 is going to fit.) That's not counting what's in the restoration pipeline of German aircraft. Jerry is pretty tight lipped about what he has, but he did confess to having 7 Fw-190's including the one we already have, and I know of a Bf-109 in restoration. (OOPS, how could I forget our Me-262! It is at Suffolk waiting permission from the FAA to fly it from a grass strip.)
Love the irony!! An aircraft designed to be operated from grass and dirt during a war is awaiting the blessing of some pinheaded desk jockey to fly FROM grass to CEMENT
