Here's another one, not much effort here, just a little attempt a sepia look. Still experimenting but this is certainly a fun thread.

Now this is actually 2 different pics with a little attempt to give you the impession the "chase was on" ! Not really even sure if a jug ever chased down a 109. Sizing might be off a bit to, the 109 looks a fraction to big compared to the jug, so use your imagination some.

The thing that keeps these photos from being really convincing is that the subject planes are too perfect. What I mean is that the paint is very good and they are shiney and polished. The planes need to be exhaust stained, and stained with dirt and greese. Chipped or pealed paint would help as well. I would not suggest this be done to any preserved warbird! I'll make my own attempt at this tonight.

Alrighty, here's a quickie I whipped up this morning...

Started with these two images:

Image

Image

That Mustang didn't fit in with the Hawk so it had to go, along with a bit of color. I like the look of this, especially with another Hawk in the mix...

Image

Then all of the color and the slide mount went bye-bye...

Image

Adjusted the levels a bit... there, that looks groovy. Also, I grew up with and came to like the look of 'real' photos with a border. But not too straight, mind you...

Image

And then a few extras... still not a complete transformation but I like it much more better now...

Thanks!

Well, I took a wartime photo with the tags on the bottom and superimposed it over the image. Made a few mods to the date and other info using the clone tool and then, with the brush, traced over the tags on a new layer.

I've tried to find a decent font that would look convincing, but no luck yet.

Does Canon Software count? I hope so, he is my first attempts at aging some of my pictures.
