Does anybody know of a definitive list of the airplanes that David Tallichet owned over the course of his life? I was told once that he owned close to 200 airplanes at different times. I don't know if this included things like the B-50 and B-29 that he was often credited with owning but they were actually on loan to him. At different times he owned six Thunderbolts, three Marauders (at least parts of them), several P-38s, a few Spitfires and a couple of A-26s. Not all of his airplanes were registered either. I certain that some of the stuff at Barstow wasn't. Between his collection, MARC and YAF he had his hands on a lot of machines.

Finally, does anybody know what the family still owns? I understand some of it is loaned out to different museums but still the property of the family.

Col. Rohr posted a good long list some years back - not sure if you can find it in the search engine or not.....

The aircraft listed under these locations in the Locator probably are a large part of the list you would like to see...
ImageAerial Visuals - Location Dossier - Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation (MARC) / David Tallichet - Chino
ImageAerial Visuals - Location Dossier - Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation (MARC) / David Tallichet - Anaheim
ImageAerial Visuals - Location Dossier - Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation (MARC) / David Tallichet - Long Beach

There may be airframes displayed at one or more of the many restaurants which are not included in this location list. If any should be added to any of these locations lists you can use the help links via each of the links above to submit some info or just post here.

Interesting subject. I did not know the man, but I certainly respect is preservation efforts.

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.
