Sadly, the Mk II Hurricane at JNE will not be airworthy anytime soon unless a benefactor with deep pockets comes in to sponsor the project. If they can get that, they will be able to bring more full time hands in on the project. Until then, with just John working on it by himself, it will take him a few more years at best to get the estimated 8,000 hours of work remaining completed.

The Vintage Aviator Ltd acquired Kermit Week's Sopwith 1 1/2-Strutter in 2011, no idea on the timetable to get it flying.

There are 2 Corsair in restoration to fly: one in la Ferté Alais (near completion) and another in deep restoration in Jura area.

In Belgium, there is the Sabena Old Timers Lysander (close to fly but since a long time  )

Dutch Spitfire MK732 is flying again soon after engine trouble, so is the B-25 as it ws transferred from American reg to Dutch reg. It has not flown for years. Since about 6 mnd there is a Yak 9 waiting for some work in the Netherlands so it can take to the sky again.

Is there any current Ju 88 restoration out there as a flier? I am aware of several, but IIRC they are all static restorations only, or am I wrong? Would love to see one flying, preferably nightfighter or torpedobomber.

Several static, no fliers, nor any fliers likely in the foreseeable future, which is a pity, as it's a very important type in W.W.II. However the increase in numbers from just two (?IIRC) on public display is great.

I've seen FHC's JN-4 fly and if you ever have the chance to see one in flight, go watch! It's mesmerising to watch this overgrown paper lantern flitting along like an over sized moth or butterfly. You quickly see why pilots threw bricks at each other in 1914-pretty awe inspiring to witness.

Then they must have two airframes, last time I stopped by Mike and John were working on putting together a brand new airframe and wings from Colorado. They finished the 25 footer FAUX WULF (scary stuff  ) and sent it to it's new home and just had the one airframe in work.
