I'll be in Deerifield for the holidays myself. Notice the wrinkled rear fuselage on the Thunderbolt after Tallichet crashed the plane used for the mold. This is now the WestPac Thunderbolt.

I did not want to waste film on it when I visited in 1998, it really looked like a mockup. I have yet to get back there. I better hurry before all the a/c are gone

There are several photos in that last one... click the arrows.

Hmmm,
Whats he got in Palwaukee?

If I remember right its P-51 and P-47 on poles, and a P-38 on gear out back. Its been a while since we stopped in there. (2003?)

Is it me, or does it look like an old Kinner or rotary engine in the Helldiver replica? You'd think that they'd at least put SOMETHING that looked believable in there.

Geez, they can make a FG complete aircraft but can't simulate a FG engine? Kind of like saying, we don't have clear fiberglass so we just put a chunk of lexan up for a windshield... :?

I think you're right , Ryan. Looks like a Kinner to me. But hey, its fiberglass, 150 hp might get off the deck.
