What is with this Corsair's outboard flaps?

What is with this Corsair's outboard flaps?

I've bumped my noggin on enough Corsair flaps to know those are deflected the wrong way! :?

He must be a jet guy who tried his hand at a piston aircraft. Did anyone else notice his reference to adding seat belts to the "ejection seat"?

Very nice model work, but yes, he flubbed the outboard flaps. Here's a quick picture after a Google Image search:
