It's in Germany, where shiny, polished schemes are de rigueur these days. Just look at what they did to 'Big Beautiful Doll', stripped off all the paint and polished it to a mirror finish, so much so that the poor Frenchman in the following Skyraider was blinded by the glare and couldn't see where he was going!


The French probably fly like they fight, so he's on his way to becoming the first French Ace since 1917.....

He was not blinded, he thought it was a flying mirror and was just trying to see how cool he looked flying a Skyraider..........

If I'm not against a small joke, this comment is disrespectful regarding the french pilots who fought during WWII, some of them giving their life for their nation serving during the campaign of France and later in the RAF or in the well known Normandie-Niemen group in Russia.
Just to named a few of the ones who didn't saw the end of the war : René Mouchotte, Max Guedj. Antoine de Saint-Exupery and the list is really long.

Yesterday, May 1., "Louisiana Kid" made her maidenflight in Germany at Albstadt-Degerfeld airfield. Pilot was Wilhelm Heinz. Pics and video will follow soon. Have a look at their FB site:

Andy, they said somewhere (I believe it was on their facebook site), that the current paintjob (it is the one the former owner / seller choose) will stay for this year. They intend to have a thorough overhaul / maintenance done in winter, including new paint as well. Which one I have no idea. Nothing was published regarding colourschemes so far that I know of.
