Well done General Lyons!

Gen. Lyons is (or was at one time) a major player in the classic car world with entries (and perhaps winners) at Pebble Beach.
We're talking multi-million dollar classics here, not 57 Chevys and 65 Mustangs.

Nice to see a man of his wealth and taste get involved with BIG warbirds in a big way.

And at the risk of appearing crass....considering his age, I wonder if they're in a trust or foundation of some sort.
The answer could give us an idea how long it will be flying or if it will end up as a static somewhere.

Well done General!

Tim, saw it at Orange County on Monday on the west side of the airport. Wondered why a B-17 was there (been off the WIX for a few days while I was in Chicago).

I seem to recall that Lyons used to own the P-38 that is now the subject of scrutiny with the CAF as to how they got ahold of it from David Price, etcetera....forget the N number on it (it had an accident in Chandler AZ back in th early 90's but was made flyable again)....
