Really great photos. The QB-17 depicted is 44-83794, which was written off in May 1951 after being damaged in an accident; VB-17 is 44-6556 which was then assigned to the embassy in Ankara, Turkey. This aircraft was transferred to Bolivia in 1956, serving as CP-624 until destroyed in crash February 1963.

Those pics have made the rounds, but it's always great to see them again. I wonder if there is going to be any kind of ceremonies marking the 60th Anniversary of the armistice this summer here in the United States.
