Very nice video... I really dig that bird. All the little glitches ironed out now?

Almost we still have oil pressure adjustments and a possible prop oil leak we need to straighten out.

When was the last time an L-1 was in the air?

The Ankorage Aviation Museum in Alaska's L-1 was still in airworthy condition in the 90's but is now taken disassembled and in rebuild.

When I worked for Kermit in Miami in the early '90s he used to use the L-1 to fly to the local strawberry patch (they had a grass strip) and bring back strawberry milkshakes for everybody. He'd time it and try to lower his elapsed time. The tower was in on it, since they'd get milkshakes sometimes too, and would clear him "direct to the strawberry patch".

Wow, so good to see the Stinson L-1 finally fly again, after it being in restoration for so long. I remember being at Fantasy of Flight in 2006 and seeing some work being done on it. I'm sure the crew there is happy to have it up and running again.
